CRESCENT CASTLE PUBLIC SCHOOL’S ACHIEVEMENT AT THE 2022-23 CISCE BOARD EXAMINATION
With smart study habits, aptness and intensity – hard work can translate into success.
Crescent from its inception has maintained innumerable success stories. After giving their all, at the ICSE Class X Board Examination, as is customary, Crescent secured a 100% pass with all first classes which included 66 distinctions.
Abel Vibin and MD Tahseen Raza were the school toppers with an average of 97.2% each. Ojas Kiran followed with 96.6%. Pranesh and Thanul Dev Darshan secured 96.2% each. Sanjeev secured 96%.
The following were Centum in Class X.
English Literature – 1, Mathematics – 4, Chemistry – 2, Biology – 1, Computer Science – 1, Economics – 1
At the ISC Class XII Examination, M.Nidarsana topped the school with an average of 98.3% with a centum in Mathematics. The rest passed with First Classes which includes 31 distinctions.
Congratulations to the parents, teachers and students for their enthusiasm, passion and perseverance which helped things happen for us.

Congratulations to M Nidarshana of Class 12 on her well deserved success. She secured a score of 97.6 percentile in the JEE MAIN -2023, Session 1. Her Humility, Intelligent work and Perseverance have brought Laurels to her, her supportive family and the Crescentians.
This is only the beginning.
We wish her every success in all her pursuits.
> CHAMPIONS at the NATIONAL LEVEL HOCKEY 2022-’23 (U14 Division Team)
We are the CHAMPIONS!
At the hockey tournament conducted by the council for the Indian school certificate examination, New Delhi, at Bangalore, the under 14, under 17 and under 19 divisions played Nation Level Hockey. Participation was from all the states in India, to name a few Andhra, Telengana, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Bihar and Punjab.
In the under 14 division team, Tamil Nadu entered the finals and won the championship 5 goals to 1. Thirteen out of eighteen players, who made team Tamil Nadu, are from Crescent Castle Public School, Ooty. The other five are from other schools affiliated to the council. As a team maximum participation was from Crescent and they brought glory to Tamil Nadu, at the National Level.
Similarly the under 19 division had maximum participation from Crescent, with a few from the other schools affiliated to the council. Here again team Tamil Nadu entered the national level finals and finished as worthy runner up.
The National winners of the under 14, and under 19 division, were awarded with the championship in Karnataka. On their return they were accorded a jubilant welcome by the Crescentians.
At this National level Hockey Tournament special mention must be made of the 27 students of Crescent Castle, Ooty, who made it to the 3 divisions of team Tamil Nadu. Out of 27 students, seven of them have been selected for their outstanding performance, to play for the Sports and Games federation of India (Khelo India)
It was a moment of pride for the Parents and School Management, as the team brought laurels while playing Indian’s national Game.
Mr. Gopi the Hockey Coach at Crescent was appreciated for his hard work and guidance.

At the Inter School Quiz 2022-2023 conducted by the Laidlaw Memorial School and Junior College, Crescent for the fourth consecutive year has made its mark. This year our school secured the 3rd position. Congratulations to Nidarshana and Rithvic.J of class XII.

At the Hockey Tournament conducted by the NILGIRI DISTRICT HOCKEY ASSOCIATION, CRESCENT CASTLE PUBLIC SCHOOL emerged CHAMPIONS, in the under 14 Junior division.
Congratulations to the Coach ( Mr.Gopi ) and his under 14 team.
> Red Letter Day in the History of Crescent 2022-’23
They made us feel proud as Crescentians.
It was a Red Letter Day in the History of Crescent as the 3 DIVISIONS Under 14, Under 17 and Under 19 entered the finals of the TAMIL NADU and PONDICHERRY REGIONAL HOCKEY TOURNAMENT 2022 organised by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, Delhi.
Crescent won Two Divisions and secured the runner up berth in one.
The result is as follows:
Under 14 Crescent beat Brindavan Public School 6 – 1
Under 17 Bindavan Public School beat Crescent 1 – 0
Under 19 Crescent beat Holy Innocents High School 2 – 1
